Claiming an invitation
If someone has added you to their rental, or a booking was made on your behalf, you will get an email with a link.
If you already have a Trail Time account, that link goes straight to the rental — sign in as usual, there is nothing to set up.
If you do not, the link is how you finish setting up the account that was created for you. There is nothing to register separately.
Setting your password
Open the link and choose a password: at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a digit. You will use it to sign in, and to sign the rental agreement.
You can do all of this in your phone's browser. The app is not required, though it is easier if you expect to rent again.
If the link does not work
Invitation links expire, and each one works only once. How long yours lasts depends on the booking — the date is in the email, and a link sent close to the rental can be short-lived.
- Expired? The page offers to send a new one. Requesting one cancels the previous link, so use the most recent email. There is a limit of five requests in fifteen minutes.
- Already used? Then the password is already set. Sign in with your email and password, or use Forgot password. Asking for a new link will not send one.
- Missing its code? Your email app has clipped it. Ask for a fresh one from that same page and open it in one piece.
If the email never arrived
Check the spam folder first. Failing that, ask whoever added you to confirm the address they used.
If the address was wrong, it cannot simply be corrected — an account's email address is fixed once set. Ask them to remove you from the rental and add you again with the right address, which sends a fresh invitation.
