Riding with additional drivers
Anyone who is going to drive has to be listed on the rental. A driver who is not on the agreement is not covered by the insurance, which is the reason this matters rather than a formality.
Add them from the rental's own page and they will get an invitation.
A rental party is capped at six people including the renter, so up to five additional drivers.
What each driver does
Two things, on their own account:
- Verify their licence. The renter's does not carry across — the check is about the person who will be driving.
- Sign their own copy of the agreement. Each driver signs against the same rental, individually.
They set up their account by opening the invitation. See claiming an invitation.
When it has to be done by
Additional drivers gate check-out — the moment the ATV leaves — and nothing before it. You can book, pay, sign and be approved with nobody else on the rental, then add a driver afterwards. What you cannot do is collect the ATV while one of them is unfinished.
So adding a driver late is not a problem in itself, as long as they have time to verify and sign before the ride.
Passengers
If someone is coming along but will not drive, talk to us before you book — ask us what they need to do, and tell us if anyone in the party is under 18.
Removing someone
Remove a driver from the same page. A driver who was added and never finished does not block anything once they are removed. The renter cannot be removed — the rental is theirs.
This article explains how the process works. What you owe, and on what terms, is set by the rental agreement — the copy you signed is what governs your rental.
